Clean bathrooms, great camp sights. Only one walking trail but it's pretty. Easy access to the beach beautiful sunrise! Look to see if you can find this really cool tree growing out of a stump.

Stayed at the mini cabin for a winter adventure trip. It was very clean and cozy. Dogs are allowed at this cabin so that was a big plus. Only negative was the vaulted toilet was full and smelled just as bad as it does in the summer.

Great camping and paved 1 mile trail on Lake Huron. Pavilion, swings, volleyball, softball, basketball and horseshoes. Nice walk into Harrisville to the harbor.

Yes. The individual spacious showers have their own toilet, sink AND mirror, which I thought was especially nice! You can take a shower, clean your face, and style your hair in privacy without leaving the shower room! I also believe there were 8 private showers!
Yes! They offer delivery to your site or there is a firewood "vending machine" that even accepts a credit card!
They drive cars through the park. I know they have signs on the trails no motorized vehicles but I have seen motorcycles driving the paved roads not the paved or dirt trails. There is a campground basically across the street from the State Park, called Doyouwanna Camp. Not on the lake and no pool but you could drive over to the state park visitor section to swim and use the playground.
Yes.
As far as I am aware there is a ban on those still .. I was there 3 days ago
I know bathhouse is closed, but I believe there are limited things open to camp and cabin.
The park is not that large. There is a paved path running north and south, quite nice for walking or bikes. There is also a pedestrian only loop which would add the distance you need. Since the paved path runs into town, you could add that to your walk.
Just got back from there. We were in site 80 and we could see stars pretty clearly. We could see the Big Dipper real good.
All of the sites have 30A electric hookups, but only a few have 50A as well. The Michigan DNR website (where you can make a reservation) should tell you which ones they are.
The three cabins at the park are open in the winter. The campground is only open from around mid April to late October.
We were just there two weeks ago. There is an area labeled on the map is a dog beach off the North End of the campground. Unfortunately, with the high lake levels, the beach is gone and it's about a three foot drop down into the water and climb back out. You can have dogs in the water and limited Beach areas outside of the posted swim area. There are also a couple of roadside Parks you can take your dog to to swim in Lake Huron.
Will check and get back
I have never stayed in one, but have looked inside. They are very basic and have bunk beds. Not sure about a microwave. A ranger told me last fall that they were considering making them "dog friendly" this year.
We camped adjacent to the dog beach entrance. There was no sign of it being a dog beach aside from the obvious people with dogs going down there. It's a very small beach so when we were there, it would only be a couple dogs at a time. Based on our experiences, I dont think you'll notice. That looked like a wonderful spot by the way! We were scoping that one our for next time.
For camping you have to have reservations, and at this late date i would be surprised if they have any sites left.
get there early there will be a very long wait
Im guessing Nov. 1st
