Yes we took our kids there several times. You can swim in the pond, but no life guard. At own risk. We do it all the time. Just make sure that if you plan to have that many people to contact them ahead of time so that you have enough space. You may need 3 spots!
Hiking trails are pretty easy. We did not see anyone swiming, but plenty of fishing by all ages. Campground 3 is tent only and bear the shower house. Staff is great.
