I have no idea, of course. But I'd set things up with airline and TSA before going to airport. I've seen people accompany old and young people. It must not be all that difficult to do.
Hello dear Suzan Havens, just you need bring your real ID in good condition, and go to the ticket account, tell the person at the counter that you need a permit to pass a Gate pass. Only with this permission can you go to the Gate. I work on the airport, I am a ticket reader, I work at the podium for that reason I know what you need, is all we need to see to let you through to the gate. Welcome all the passengers.
Contact your carrier by phone or in person at the airport and they will give you appropriate directions. I had to do this for years when my boys would visit me.
I would check with the airline and also TSA to avoid any issues. I would think that they would allow a parent to accompany Thierry child to the gate.
Only the airline can grant that permit
