***UPDATE: It turns out my park issue request actually went through! Although the website gave me various errors. I have to say the manager for Park Services - South region (Royce) reached out to me on Tuesday letting me know he would send out a team to clean up the park. Thursday I took my kids out there again after work and I was extremely relieved to see that Mr. Royce kept his word, the park was cleaned up and looking beautiful again, the playground was also cleaned and no ants! Royce also followed up with me Thursday night to let me know it had been taken care of. I am so so grateful! (Last 3 photos are after clean up.) Most of these reviews are about the canal and trail rather than the park itself. Here goes my review after living in the neighborhood for over a year now and bringing my kids to the park. To me it looks like the city is invested in the upkeep of the canal and the Veterans Memorial park down the street and totally forgot this small park, which also connects to the canal. The amount of trash throughout the park and the playground is beyond me, the park is abandoned. The lawn has not been cared for, they may be cutting the grass every now and then but that’s it, the same leaves from last autumn are still there. The trash has been sitting on the floors so long that most is burying and discolored from the sun. I’ve attempted to submit a park issue request on the Hillsborough county website several times and I get an error every time saying “ We're sorry, but something went wrong. We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly..” I’ve taken several photos of the park, as well as the canal, which I have no complaints about, they do a very good job maintaining that area, but for the love of God, clean the damn playground, there’s ants everywhere due to the trash. It is not safe for kids.

Just used it to launch kayaks into the canal but the canal is full of wildlife a little littered though

There's a family of 5 HOMELESS people actually living and sleeping in the park right now! For 5 days in a row went there with my cousins to play some basketball in the facilities in Bypass Park and we wanted to seat on the seating area and those homeless were SOOOOOO STINKY that we had to go at once! I'll wait until police take care of them and then I'll come back with my family 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Nice park. Walking trail is top notch! Wish there were lights for the nights though..

You can fish at Harney. I have not, but have seen others. Be sure not to go when the college or the high schools have a rowing regatta.
there us no dock by the Tampa Bypass Canal towards the North snd East area around Temple Terrace / E Fletcher Ave and E Fowler Ave. You will have to go towarfs the Tampa location to the douth and west
Just a fresh water license.. like 15 bucks
