There's also Fransted Campgrounds a little pricier but has a lot going on. Free hot showers. Laundry, nice selection of campgrounds. Secluded ones and ones by the river. People that own it are very friendly, right by FRANCONIA NOTCH and all highways to the other state parks. They have horseshoes, a playground for kids, community bonfires as well as bonfires at each campsite. I believe volleyball and/or basketball hoops.

There are designated campgrounds with cleared sites. My favorite campground is Jigger Johnson. It is located on the Kangamangus highway. There's hot showers there!
