For the 2nd day in a row a fawn is bedding down next to my house. Is this common? it does not appear hurt in anyway, for it has run off twice. I have not seen a doe, but they usually come thru in the evening or later.

Yes it is common. Fawns do not have a scent and lay low during the day to keep predators away. The mom visits at night and feeds the young.

Fawns usually bed in the same spot when they're young, while their mother is off on her own.
