Took a bunny we rescued there. They were very friendly. They said we could call with a status update.

My husband and I found an injured squirrel at Lititz Springs Park in early October; he was crawling along not moving his back legs. We tried calling several wildlife rescue centers that all said they weren't accepting any animals. We were so fortunate to find that Red Creek would be able to take him. I just received a follow up call today after leaving a message last week to inquire on his status and was so happy to hear it was a minor injury and he's recovering and receiving "squirrel physical therapy" and will plan to be released into the wild in the spring. The amount of care given to these animals by Red Creek as well as the follow up they're willing to provide to those of us dropping off the animals is simply amazing. What a great organization!

I had some baby birds in my fireplace. Called several wildlife rescue centers and no one would take them. Red Creek was very enthusiastic and helpful. Gave me some pointers in preparation for travel. Dropped them off the next day. Met a staff person in parking lot who took them, explained what type of bird, and said they should be fine.

I am grateful that we have such a wonderful place with dedicated people to take care of our wild and injured animals here in Pennsylvania. This morning I went to move a possum from the side of the road but quickly realized that she had a full pouch of babies that were still alive. The dedicated attendants at red Creek did not hesitate and told me to bring them for their safety and recovery. They accept all injured wild life with the exception of bear cubs. Please support this organization and all the work that they do!

blankets, food, water bowls, newspaper etc
Yes we do
No. In Pennsylvania, ALL bear calls must go through the PA Game commission first.
It's against regulations for public visits with wildlife. It is here and is recovering. Thank you for rerscung him!!! :-)
Yes it will. You didn't do any damage
Thank you, Todd, you are correct. Carisa and I connected on Facebook and did just that.
Bring the to red creek if you can they will not get help from another mom!
They could probably tell you the answer to all the questions you have by showing it to them. I'd say at the very least give them a call.
Yes, please call them and take it over, they won't see this question, you'll have to call them or just take it over.
You will probably need to need to run them. You should call them. They give advice. Maybe they will know of a closer rehab. They may tell you to put the nest in a basket & hang it near the vent. They may say to warm up the baby's gently with a heating pad , not direct heat. Keep them dark & quite. Time is of the essence. I would call now someone may pick up the phone. They must eat soon.
When feeding a baby squirrel you must be very careful that they don't aspirate the formula. It needs to be a milk designed for squirrels. All mammals have their own different formulas. Wild animals should be taken to a rehaber as quickly as possible. Animals must not imprent on humans. Rehabbers have pain relievers, antibiotics and the knowledge. Red creek is free & the public should call & get advice. Well-intentioned people often do more harm than good when it involves wild animals.
This bat will die unless you take it to red creek. It needs to be kept warm & quite in a box. It will not survive because it is out of hibernation at the wrong time of year. Red creek will probably not be able to come for it. If you call them they are helpful as far as giving advice & providing the care that wild animals need.
We rescued a baby bird and we took it to them and took care of it . They then gave us the Bio of what it is . Where it should live . What it eats etc . Call them they are Great .
