No playgrounds, but my kids (6-12) had a blast hiking, the scenic overlooks, and the guest center with a small educational museum. Note, we hiked from the lodge to the peak and then out to the overlooks. Also, we did not camp (or stay in the lodge or cabins) since we were just there for the day. You can get to the scenic overlook and the guest center by driving or hiking. Some kids or smaller children (or even adults) who aren't good with hiking may not enjoy the trails.
No, it's really geared towards adults. It's in top, of a mountain. Not really, child friendly.
