Like he said, a few hrs ago. We live off hwy AW. Just as soon as you leave the post by the South gate, you will see the 'palace' church on right, take that very sharp left. Continue on that road about 20 minutes. The paced road turns into a pretty bumpy dirt road. Not bad now, they just graded it.anyway, continue on that road until you see Ross bridge!!! Water is lovely

Its not too bad from Fort Leonard Wood. I'd suggest taking the South Gate to highway AW, then in less than a mile you will take a sharp left turn on to highway TT. It is a pretty good road for Missouri roads, a few potholes, but it is has many sharp turns. You will go about 3 or 4 miles Eventually you will get to the community of Big Piney. At this point the paved road will become a county maintained gravel road. It is usually in okay condition, but you'll want to go 25-30 mph for safety. You will go a mile or two u til you cross a concrete bridge. As soon as you cross the bridge you will turn left down the drive to Wilderness Ridge and Rich's Last Resort. Keep going straight and it will dead end at Wilderness Ridge or turn left right before to get to Rich's. Nancy owns Wilderness Ridge Resort. She's a wonderful person who will do her absolute best to ensure you have a good time. Her and her husband originally ran the resort together, but he passed. Tell her I sent you!

I'm not sure, but from the to St. Louis it was all paved, navigable roads. You could pull up the route on Google Maps and do the street view in places you're concerned about.
