No, they don't allow you to go off the designated route whether you're with the guide or not. Most of the path is in trees and not on the paved roads.
No, you would go to different areas. They had us start off with a group and then sent my niece and I on our own about halfway through, and that was on trails away from where most people are bike riding.
You go on their trails for riding. (Blacktop and then into forest on trails.) You can go with a guide or go on your own, once you get into forest. They will ask you. It would be hard for a bicycle to go through woods trail but could follow with bike along the paved streets.
