A great time was had by my kids and I . I’ve been riding for years but my boys it was their first time. The guides here very helpful showing how to control the horses they rode. Absolutely beautiful country. Again I couldn’t thank the guides enough for their expertise.

Fantastic ride! These guys were great, very kind and comfortable with riders of all experience! Family farm for generations and they had fun stories and fascinating information about the area along the way! Beautiful scenery thru the Ozarks, will definitely go again!

Very well cared for calm sure footed horses (I'm a veterinary technician and horse farm manager). Kat was a fun Guide and gave us lots of laughs! This family truly does a wonderful job caring for the mustangs and has beautiful trails to take guests out on. I highly recommend riding here if you are in the area!

Our Family was here for a nice relaxing excursion. We had a GREAT time and would return again when we are in the area. The staff was all very knowledgeable and helpful. The horses are well trained and cared for at this facility. Our guide, Kat was great. Chris, the owner, is very nice. The Grand Kids, we’re able to ride “ponies” although they were the same horses we rode on our trip. Had a blast! Take the time and go out and relax and enjoy the beautiful area.

No I really can't offer group rates. The more riders I have going out the more guides I have to pay to go out as well. I have to have 1 guide for every 4 riders. Thank you for asking.
Skburr, I do require reservations. I don't have a 45 minute ride. I have a half hour ride for $35 per person, an hour ride for $45 per person, an hour and a half ride for $65 per person and a 2 hour ride for $80 per person. I can't take any one under the age of 7 out on our trails but do have pony rides for those under 7 for $15 per child. Please call 573-693-7734 to set a reservation
As you are a physically fit person and understand how to use your weight to benefit yourself. You should have a good sense of balance and be able to help the horse carry your weight. I do have a draft horse I could put you on. Please call me at 573-693-7734 to schedule your ride if you decide this is something you want to do. Randy, I do have a horse that can take that weight. He is kind of new with us so can need some guiding from his rider. If you have never ridden before he may not be the best choice for you. However if you can be frim with your asking him to turn the way the rest of the horses are going you would be fine. He is not going to do anything bad just go down the wrong trail if you don't stay frim. Also I am only doing Friday, Saturday, and Sundays till the end of May. Thank you Chris Jamison
Michelle, Yes we have the horses, you would be going out with our guide for your ride. We do not rent horses out and let customers ride on their own. We have a half hour ride for $35 per person, an hour ride for $45 per person, and an hour and a half for $65 per person. We can not take out anyone under the age of 7 on our trails but do have pony rides for $15 per child, pony rides are about 15 minute rides. Due to some changes we are going through at this time we are only open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We hope to be back to our week day rides as soon as we can but may not happen till the end of May. Thank you for your interest in Old Family Farm Trail Rides Chris Jamison
Tanya they are just hills, no ledges or bluffs. They are some decent hills that let you know you are on a hill. But not something that is hard for horse or rider to handle. The horses go slow down them.
Carlye, Yes we are open, we hope to stay open till the end of Oct.. Yes there is an age limit, we can't take anyone under the age of 7 out on our trails. We do have pony rides for those under 7 for $15 per child. The rides for those 7 and over are: Half hour ride for $35 per person, One hour ride for $45 per person, an hour and a half for $65 per person, and a 2 hour ride for $80 per person. Our weekends are booking about a week in advance. Week days at least a day better off giving us 2 days in advance.
Janice the horses might trot a little from time to time. But for the most part we are a walking only trail ride. We have a lot of hills, rocks, and trees so it's not really a safe trail for any speed. Thank you for asking. Chris
Wesley, Yes we do ask that our riders keep somewhat close to the 250 lb weight limit. We will not put any one on a scale but do ask our riders stay somewhat close to that in consideration of our horses. Thank you
