I love a good trail ride and this place exceeded my expectations. As a horse person, seeing the horses so healthy and happy was refreshing! The staff was absolutely amazing. Special shout out to Cammy & Michelle. I had such a great experience here. I highly recommend it

As a horseback rider since childhood what I noticed immediately is how well taken care of the horses are. Well fed, well groomed, and well loved. It makes me happy they require a BMI of 32 and below. The family and employees carefully choose the right horse for the rider, take the time to train you on holding the reins, stopping, and turning. Safety is number one. There are three experienced trail leaders for each ride and they are vigilant at all times looking for loose saddles and reading the concerns of the riders. You can tell they enjoy their jobs and put the riders and horses well-being first. The trail is a rough at times with steep inclines and declines as the horse carefully maneuvers the sharp switchbacks. Rocky, many tree roots, and powder dirt. The horses know the trail well, are sure-footed, and the rider will feel secure and able to sit back and enjoy the views. Each crossing of the river is an adventure. I highly recommend this family owned business to locals and tourists alike.

Best horseback/ trail riding experience you could ask for. The staff here is kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The horses are well trained and cared for. I appreciated the thought that went into pairing each individual with the perfect horse. No matter your skill level you will love this ride while enjoying awesome views and learning about the area. 10/10.

My wife and I did the 2 hour guided tour while we were on our Honeymoon in Yosemite. It was my favorite day of the whole trip! We were both nervous cuz we both have only riden a horse once or twice before. The staff was so friendly and patient. The horses are well taken care of and happy. The scenery and fresh air was just beautiful and perfect. The horse I was with was Sugarcane and my wife was with Chex. They know the trail and really dont need to be guided on direction. Trust and listen to your horse and they will take care of you. One of the staff members gave us a horseshoe as a honeymoon gift to hang above our door for good luck. Which of course was one of the first things I did after unpacking, hanging up the horseshoe. The only thing I would have changed would have to make our time with Sugarcane and Chex even longer!!

When we went, everyone wore helmets while horseback riding. Most likely required due to liability insurance. They have lots of different types and sizes, and they make sure the helmet fits and is comfortable :) A fabulous experience!
Our Big Creek 1 hour ride is $50/person, the Vista Pass 2 hour ride is $90/person and our 5 1/2 hour ride to the Giant Sequoias is $185/person. We strongly suggest buying your tickets in advance via our website, www.YosemiteTrails.com

Guided only
It's not only for the horses benefit but yours as well. Horseback riding can be strenuous.
