Quite often they are rented out for private events and public festivals. If your trying to go during one of those, chances are it will be pretty full... On a normal non event day, you'll almost always be able to get a spot...
I would call. Ive stayed in their cabin but getting a hold of them is hard. Cell phone coverage is very spotty there. Try several times.
Did you call them? Thought they typically take reservations. You need to make sure there is not a private event the weekend you want to go and be sure they allow campers
Just an fyi, they do NOT really have hook ups for campers and only really allow pop up campers. Anything bigger you will have issues getting into the camp ground.
The chances are 50/50 no matter where and when. The ODDS on the other hand would be best considered after contacting them
