More insight is waiting for memorial day for first time buyers, you can get a 10x10x10 for $70 per month. I have had mine for 3 years now.
The height of each unit is about thee same regardless of it's square footage. That said, the height does vary depend on what floor it's on—it's an old building so some units in the basement, for example, may have a lower ceiling. I would say the average height would be 8-9 feet but could be as low as 7 feet and as high as 12 feet. A call into their sales office will give you an accurate specifications for whatever units are available. Here's some unsolicited insight: the $1 move-in promotion which they advertise will most likely run you upwards of fifty bucks once taxes, fees, mandatory rental insurance and purchase of a proprietary lock to the type of locking mechanism used on their doors.
12' or so
It's been a good location for me. I took advantage of a potential flooding issue in the basement and got a good deal for a 20x10 space. The 'ceiling to the unit is about 7 1/2 feet, but is not secure (it's just wire grid). You can buy one of their locks from Ebay, wish, or used on craigslist and save a lot over their price. The rates have gone up yearly so I'm paying $279 with taxes and insurance. Split with a friend and it's been a good deal. There used to be people living in some units and a few strung out meth users on property. That's changed with the new access hours. Weekdays they close at 6, weekends 5 - and truly it's a huge inconvienece. One day its 9p now 6p. That's a lot of usable access hours and I think it's the biggest drawback to this property. Let me asd: staff here is truly great; helpful and nice they are a great team of folks.
