We did, we just never left our site with it. Also we weren't loud.
Camped there last year. Most people had beer or booze. Just dont be open about it

They have the policy so that in case someone gets out of hand they have reason to throw them out. A lot of people just pour their preferred adult bevrrage it into a cup or similar .
