I would not hesitate to go. We were there on the 12th and there was some color. If it is a sunny day I say go.

I was in Midland on Sunday, October 15 and they had lots of green on the trees. I would say about 20% color. I would think the western side of the state is the same. Try and find a local webcam online in that area and see what the colors look like
