Trails open, wear a mask!
The buildings, conservatory, and display gardens at Matthaei are currently closed. The trails and natural areas at Matthaei are open daily sunrise to sunset, and the trails and natural areas at Nichols Arboretum are also open daily sunrise to sunset. Because Matthaei and the Arb are operated by the Univ Michigan, the UM asks all visitors to wear a mask and social distance.
There's signage requiring you to wear a mask at all times, including on the trails.
The trails are open. Not the gardens.
