GUIDELINES FOR NIGHT FISHING AT REID & POPHAM BEACH STATE PARKS 1. The 2020 night fishing season has been established at Reid and Popham Beach State Parks. This season begins June 1, 2020 and continues through September 30, 2020 (catch and release only from June 1-June 30). The Bureau of Parks & Lands reserve the right to discontinue night fishing for any reason (such as vandalism, public safety problems, threats to other wildlife, etc.), or for changes in the striped bass fishing season as adopted by the Maine Department of Marine Resources. If either or both areas are closed, park staff will notify pass holders as soon as possible. 2. Night fishing will be allowed only for those people who purchase a NIGHT FISHING PASS. This is an individual pass issued for use by the PURCHASER ONLY. The passes will be honored from 7:00 pm to 8:00 am and will not be recognized for day use at any park. 3. No parking outside the gate or on the road unless directed to do so by park staff.
