Lake Murray gets crowded about 12. But even though you are going to have a great time! Go and have fun! There is no life guard on duty!!!!! So watch the kids!!!!!
During the week there are very few people there.
Less crowded in the am!
Pick some other park, there's 2 more "beaches " on the lake. It's gotten terribly crowded and no parking is available after 12:00.
Definitely go before noon if you wish to park there. Otherwise, you can park across the street beside the road and cross traffic on foot. We saw many doing that when it was crowded.
