Take Uber from Newark as the hotel does NOT have a shuttle. The hotel is located ON TOP of the Path which will take you anywhere. Their breakfast is so delicious.
Dont rent a car, public transportation is best. Parking is expensive. Id take uber. After you consider all the cost of taking the subway besides the experience of it it turns out it's not that much more expensive and you get to see a lot more of the city. By the way the hotel and the staff there are awesome we stay there several times
If you are not accustomed to waiting for rides, then renting a car will work. There is parking available at the hotel (for a fee) - but your car will be available anytime that you need. I drove all over the area and never paid for parking. The hotel will recommend a local cab service. I used this cab 2x and they were timely and pretty cheap.
No need to rent a car. Parking will cost more than an Uber ride/Taxi.
There is no shuttle service and I would not recommend renting a car - use the PATH
You will take Uber or Lyft and after that to use NYC municipal transport like subway or bus. It will be cost $5.50 per two way two tickets. If you will spend here 1 week it will cost $32.00, per month ticket $115.00. Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens have a perfect (unfortunately not so clear like Barcelona) subway lines. Have an enjoy!
