Nice hotel and location for families, ordering deliver to hotel, and walkable to Exchange Place and Newport Mall area. Large rooms with kitchens are a welcome change to tight NYC hotels, a meal delivery and pickup area at front of hotel with security officer is a convenient perk. Service at check in by Lorenzo was welcoming and reminded my of Travel Pass perks. Although bed is comfortable, some local light rail train traffic keeps you aware of the busy Jersey City.

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It is extremely noisy, the tram is practically running next to your bed. To tap it off, they don’t even comply with the fire regulations. They are renting rooms where the fire alarm batteries have not been replaced. And the fire alarm starts beeping all night, the receptionist asked me “can you disconnect it or do you want me to come and do it”. Aside from being illegal, disconnecting the fire alarm does not stop the annoying beeping. So if you don’t need a good night sleep, Sonesta is the best choice!

Fully clean rooms and bathroom! We stayed there for four days and we enjoyed our stay. Staff was attentive and their service was also quick. Front desk staff was so helpful and nice to everyone. Rooms are so quite and beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone out there! 👍

Having a kitchen fully equipped is very handy. I missed a sponge for dishes, but other than that what we needed for fast meals was available. Located near the path station it was easy to get to NYC, even in New Year’s Eve. Just have in mind that you will always have a few minutes walk if you are using public transportation.
