They have lots of brochures. The best piece of information that I would recommend is the map with the free bus route. The route takes you close to all the things you would want to see. If the buses don't take you right by them then you can get off and take a short walk.
Do the hop on hop off bus for a day also just walk around. I met and talked to amazing people and just took in all the beauty of the historic district

As a visitor to Savannah a couple weeks ago, I can tell you that the folks at the visitor center have a huge knowledge base and a ton of printed information they can provide to anyone that asks. They also have a great gift shop and a very friendly staff. Enjoy your time in beautiful Savannah.
