No you cannot kayak on Big Spring. You can kayak on Indian Lake, (there is a spot to put in just north of the park). Big Spring dumps into Indian Lake. But the DNR will take away your birthday and bend your dog tags if you get caught kayaking up the springs channel from the lake. There is a giant raft on the spring with a huge viewing port you can look down and see the bottom and the huge trout in the spring. Seriously don't kayak up the spring, I am told it is a very expensive ticket. Just use the raft, you will have a great experience. Oh if you don't want to pay admission, you can park outside and walk in.
I dont think you would be able to put a kayak in at the spring, but there is another lake nearby that it feeds into and you may be able to put it in there and paddle to the spring. Not entirely sure though.
