Wow, what a rude response from the owner. I’m so glad I saw this. It makes perfect sense to make sure you can afford a membership before wasting time taking a tour. Should be called Pompous Fitness.
Ms. Pugh, I'm sorry you got a negative impression when you called our club. I will say that our club is different. Anytime Fitness/White Knoll is by far the nicest and most upscale fitness club in the Columbia/Lexington MSA. Because we are the nicest and best, we certainly are not the cheapest, although our prices are very modest and affordable. People interested in joining our gym come in and take a tour, then we present all our many different enrollment options, all at different prices, and help the individual choose the best option for him/her. It is our experience that when someone calls and all they are interested in is the price (not what kind of equipment we have, or how clean the club is, or how much help our staff will provide in helping you achieve your fitness goals, or etc., etc.,), but just the price, then that individual is clearly looking for not the Best gym, but the cheapest gym. That's why Haley suggested another gym.
I was about to inquire the same to enroll myself but after reading the pompous response of this Owner, it’s clear that they believe they are better than their potential customers. I for sure can afford whatever you ask, but not being dumb and driven by the emotions, I ask for a price ahead. Good luck
