I hear that the new owners want nothing to do with bass fishermen? Is this true?

I agree with the tournaments going next door instead. It is in the best interest of people living here. I think the owner is doing a good job at improving things. The showers are always clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere for residents was priority to business from tournaments.

Same owner, I was told they are not going to allow anymore tournaments. Cant say that I blame them, people were putting boat trailers on camp sites blocking roads and basically taking over the whole area. This area is not big enough for the size tournaments they were having. I stayed there 5 months last year and it was a total mess when they had a tournament and I am a fisherman. Love to fish but there is always a few who will ruin anything. Management is pitiful and very lacking grounds are run down the bath houses are awful but the tournaments were a huge problem.

You are correct, now that the ownership dispute between brother and sister has concluded, the new owner is moving in an anti-fishermen direction.

Mark, it's not that we want nothing to do with bass fisherman, but we just can't accommodate them. We don't have enough parking for the larger tournaments. We feel like if we can't accommodate the smaller ones, then it's not fair to accommodate any. Town & Country has plenty of parking and is more geared towards tournaments.

Bumbles Bounce i guess i need to make my comments brief. I have a lot to say so I will have several posts. I went into the store today and asked the cashier for a price list. She was very nice. She also gave me a brochure about Lakeside. I went to the swimming area and it was clean and nice. That is about all I can say positive. Bass tournaments have been mentioned a lot. It only takes a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone. It is up to management to handle this.I saw my first tournament weigh in there. It was so cool and my grandchildren loved it. They still talk about having to go take a lie detector test if you win or catch largest fish.
