Used books, but we found they only want current cookbooks, only paperback fiction (mystery, romance, suspense). We gave up & donated 2 truck loads for a library booksale.
Mostly all of the books sold are used books. They do however sell new books or if you can't find what you want they'll be more than happy to order the book for you.
