Flew them to Miami and back a few months ago. No issues, however we were out of Charlotte, so no layover.

Yeah United is definitely there. As I said in my reviews United always has delays. Unfortunately yours was much longer, I said plan to be late if you choose to board there.

I did a week ago. Will not ever take United Airlines again if I can help it. The plan was 2/1/2 hour late it was to leave CAE airport at 6pm we didn't leave until 930 pm that night. When finally arrive at Dull airport all of United planes were delayed Dull airport, airline reservation said it would be late when I arrive so I will be given a voucher for hotel and food, when I finally got to see a airline reservation she ask for my license and my ticket from CAE airport, now it was already very late like about 130am. She put someone else name on my hotel voucher and food voucher but type out the right name for my airline ticket for the next flight I stayed up all morning because the hotel manager would not except it, manager this is not the only time they try to pull this off. He the manager tried to call them all morning no one would answer he even send a txt. It was not CAE airport it's United Airlines unorganized.

I have seen United Airlines at that airport.
