Yes it is and you can see the light on just as it says on the sign about it's history
I have never noticed a gate at the entrance. I believe you can get in at night.
I am not sure. I am aware that several photographers have taken pictures late at night on the grounds.
I think they close the road in by means of a small gate but not sure if that is all the time.
I am pretty sure they are. Might wanna check just to be sure.
