If the warranty is from Best Buy sure. If from manufacture then you probably have to file claim with them first.
You can go to any Best Buy locations and they should be able to help you. If you bought their warranty, then it should be fine. If its the manufacturer 's , then you have to go through Sony. Even better if you bought it on your Amex card, they normally pick up the warranty once the manufacturer has expired. I think for one more year. Love my Amex card! My friend's Playstation messed up only after the warranty expired. So she called Amex since she bought it on their card. They told her to get it fixed and Amex reimbursed her cost 😀👍
