Yes, you are. And they have brim, bass, catfish, and i have occasionally seen garfish.

You can fish but it is catch and release only you can not take the fish with you. They have a sign posted on the guard shack that shows all the fish in the river. (I can't remember all of them at the moment of typing this)

Your best bet is to call the game warden.
