Pleasant, quiet place. Plenty of trails, picnic areas and places to spread out. Very nice, safe, handicap accessible playground.

Absolutely love saluda shoals! Not only do they do christmas lights during the winter months but during the summer months it is a wonderful place to explore and they have a splash pad!

Horrible park. Very rude old white men. And dog park is not included in the 5 bucks to get in the park. Do not recommend this park. And it is not dog or kid friendly.

I am just a longtime park visitor, not a staff member. But as no one else seems to be answering, my guess is "No." I did see occasional horses there years ago, but none since. The designated area to begin a ride was right at the corner of the dog park, a very poor choice. Some riders even tethered their horses to the dog park fence, and both dogs and horses became loudly agitated. In addition, the place intended for rides was a long undeveloped area under the power lines that has since become a long paved road connecting the two halves of the park for cars and trucks.
If the front is busy, try the rangers number. 803-479-9886
It's only open on Saturday and sunday at this time.
Yes you can.

Ask at the pay booth or go to the kiosk board by ranger office and look at the map.
Yes
I have swum in the river several times! There are several shoals. Just make sure the river conditions are safe for the day.
I don't know but, if you do please I'm begging you don't leave your trash behind in the water or on the shore. My daughter and I go on the water I don't want us to have to get stitches because you or someone else decided to leave their trash behind. I also don't want to have to look at your trash the park is nice without seeing the trash left behind!
No it is not
No camping.
It can be as much as you want. There are several trails of varying lengths connected by a couple of main roadways. I've run and/or biked as much as 16 miles by going wherever I feel like at the moment and keeping an eye on my GPS.
Car
No
As of yesterday they posted online the park was open.
No fishing
I think if you have a fisherman's pass
Parking which is 5.00 I think unless you purchase an annual pass which is around 45.00
I don't see why it wouldn't be permitted anywhere in the park as long as you don't cause harm to the environment.
There's a splash pad, and the river, no lifeguards on the river.
Absolutely! The trout fishing is very good here, and there are always bream... As previously mentioned, be sure to bring your current SC freshwater fishing license with you. Happy fishing!

It’s open! We’re here now! $5 per car to park and then $3 per person using it
You can absolutely swim and fish there within park boundaries, but there isnt a pool or designated swiming area. Be aware the saluda can change height and speed rapidly because of the dam, and have strong currents.
I don't think so either. But there's a great playground area that is open to play at.
Yes, it will. You have family coming down to visit so that will be a perfect place to go.
The dog park is up front by the entrance
