Hi Jorge, The museum complex consists of multiple buildings and a park with two large fossil pits. Currently, due to the pandemic, we have areas in our Main Museum and our park open to the public. The areas in the Main Museum open are the Gift Shop, Restrooms, our Shark Exhibit Room and the Nutrien Mine Room. The Fossil Park is open with picnic tables and benches available to enjoy the crisp autumn air. Our fossil pits are also open, but we do not have any new material in them at this time. We hope that you can plan a visit to the Aurora Fossil Museum soon or in 2021 when we will hopefully have more of the museum buildings and grounds open. Sincerely, Cynthia Crane, Executive Director
The museum currently has only 2 rooms open, so not very big. There are 2 pits outside to dig thru but they haven't brought in any new matrix in a while.
The museum is nice but I don't know if it's open because of covid they do have places where you can look for stuff and dig for fossils with this being a bad year they are running shorthanded but it seems a nice place to visit.
