I think if you go the whole way its at least 8 miles, but you should look it up to make sure. There is a map, and start early, we were late, so we had to turn back. Google it and take the map with you, it has directions.
There trail is 12 miles long according to the forest service website. But, the main trailhead at the end of forest road 5701 bypasses the first couple of miles. Download the PDF map at https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/giffordpinchot/recarea/?recid=31636 or visit monument headquarters in Amboy. They have printed maps with typed descriptions of several area hikes at the front desk.
I believe it's on the upper end of eight miles. Really beautiful trail for low land Washington! I took some amazing pictures of the creek last summer with gorgeous teal waters. There ARE washed out areas, I took my kids who are fairly experienced, but there are definitely places where if you're not very careful, you can take a nasty fall. Definitely reccomend doing this one at least once though!
7ish miles😀
