You do not need a tour but you do need a ticket to enter. You can buy your ticket when you get there. You have to buy a ticket either $30 general adm or $45 or $50 for guided tour or specialty tours. My friends and I (6 total) paid the $30 each and we took so many pictures and did 2 different wine tastings and tour the underground outside and the gift shop. The tour is ok but I heard alot of ppl complain about it. Tour ticket basically let's you taste specialty wines in same area as the general adm .

No you will need to buy a pass. $30.00 per person this will include 5 wine tasting samples. It was worth it for us.

Very limited sightseeing without tour, basically you need to do a tour.

How much do they charge per person if they give me a tour and I taste wines ????? and how much just to try ???

Sakshi Gupta | Feb 23, 2019

No, that's not an option. You can get pictures clicked outside the Castle but you won't have enough of the spots for the perfect picture.

This place is beautiful. I gladly paid the tour, what also includes the wine taste and the chance to buy their delicious wines for very good price and beside the ship it to you.

Nope , you cant go inside without paying up. Without guide its 30$ else 45$. I'd suggest not to bother going inside because there's nothing worth the 30$.

No, you cannot walk the grounds without the tour. The only way to see the castle is to have a tour.

Bob O'Malley | Feb 23, 2019

Yes. Tours are optional. You can't go everywhere in the castle, but there are enough places to explore (especially down by the tasting rooms).

No they charge you to go inside the castle. You can go around the grounds for free. They have some animals to look at, its pretty but thwy dont allow picnics either.
