We did the cave tour / cheese & wine pairing session, and really enjoyed our experience. This winery definitely stands out from the other non-sparkly winemaking peers due to its unique winemaking process. Would recommend.

First time in napa— did the cave tour. Lisa our tour guide was very sweet, knowledgeable and passionate about the winemaking process. The cave tour was very cool and different and had a lot of history. Wine was very good (brut rose and blanc de noir were my favorites). Only downside was that I like a view of the vineyard on my winery experience but the experience is based around the wine caves (if you don’t care about a view of the vines then this is right up your alley). Cave tour was also quite pricey. Overall really cool experience, great job Schramsberg!

We had a great cave tour tasting as our last stop in Wine Country. You drive way up the hill to reach the estate which, like many in the region, is full of history but still has family involved / living on property today. The caves are amazing. The sheer size of the caves and the volume of wine stored in them - mostly hand stacked - is mind blowing. The bubbles aren’t too shabby either. Highly recommend as one of your stops! 👍🏻

The tour was pretty awesome. Highly recommend to those visiting Napa for the first time. The wine is good, highlight is the cave where they store their wines.

Hi Michael - Are you asking what our Covid policy is for people who are visiting us (as in, what we require of anyone who is on property), or our Covid policy in the event that you need to cancel a scheduled visit due to a Covid infection? Thanks for clarifying. We don't sell tasting tickets, but we do offer gift certificates that can be applied towards tastings or the purchase of wine and merchandise. Or, you can always book the tour/tasting yourself, but let them know that someone else is attending. You can do both of these by calling 707-942-2419. Cheers!
Hi Sue - Both Gary and Michael are correct. That would be an older vintage, that we don't have available to sell. We are currently selling the 2015 vintage of the Crémant Demi-sec. The older Crémants are quite delicious, if you can locate one. WineSeacher.com is a site that you might be able to use to locate a bottle - though we can't guarantee any purchases made from vendors on this site. Same with Winebid.com. Good luck finding it and happy holidays.
Hello Sandra, Those are two delicious wines to be serving at Thanksgiving. Thank you for having our wines be part of your holiday celebration. If you have time (4-6 hours), we suggest chilling your sparkling wines in the refrigerator. That will take the temperature down to about 40 degrees. This is a touch colder than optimal, but the wine will slowly warm up in the glass after you pour it, and you will get to see how the wine evolves as it warms, with blooming aromas and flavors. If you don't have time to chill the wine in the fridge, you can also put the bottle in an ice bath for 20 minutes to chill it faster. Here is a link to a page our our website with additional tips for sparkling wines (scroll down to the second discussion topic): http://www.schramsberg.com/sip-savor/education/. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
