The road thru the campground is paved but the sites themselves are not. There is only one access road into the campground (on the east end). Most of the sites are around 10 -15 feet above the normal river level. Park Rangers or the site steward would notify everyone if flooding is iminent. The road in/out climbs at least 100 feet as soon as you leave the campground itself. The only thing you might have to worry about IMO would be traffic if everyone is trying to get out at the same time.
There are facebook groups that jeep you uodated hour by hoyr when there are storms
I know the forcast is 80 % and 40% chance of rain on Monday and Tuesday next week. Do you anticipate flooding on the Current River where we will be canoeing?
Perhaps you can call and see how are the grounds now I'm assuming it should be fine the water has receded and not that much rain has fallen
You'll be fine the ground is very solid very Rocky. I've never seen in 30 plus years anyone sink or gets stuck
