Never had that problem. I stay there frequently, staff is always pleasant and helpful.
The new management has a policy to overbook the rooms. This way they can assure that they have no empty rooms. Edit... good news. The manager responsible for this horrible practice has been let go. The newest manager seems to be well attuned to the needs of his guests.
Baloney. This place is great. No such thing as giving away a reserved room.
My room was also given to another couple..the staff needs to ckt the rooms before just giving them away. I was given a discount for my next stay..we will see if it works. Proper training/and pay sort of helps this.
