Are there bald eagles in the area this winter? I have friends visiting mid January and I'd like to know where/how the best viewing is? Thnx

We see them in the trees around the refuge everytime we are there.

It's not common to see them at the refuge and I go there almost weekly. Plenty of eagles in the outling areas though.

When the smelt run comes up to Cowlitz we get a lot of eagles but we don't always know when that's going to be anytime between now and March
