It's slightly loud. You will not be able to hear your ringtone so you will be fine. They have bathrooms steps away from the seats that are well sound proofed
You can leave Vibrate Mode and bathrooms are close if you need to take call.
I put my phone on vibrate and I was recording. Yes ringer off please.

It's like a movie theater, you don't have to but it's appreciated. This is a show people put their hearts into and maybe even travel a long way to get too. It would be appreciated if you respected that. If you need to use your phone, silence it and dim the brightness. I hope this helped!
