I'd rather have the guest seated at a table . Its to always customers satisfaction first , so hurry up feed them and be out. I'm not sure how the waitresses do there job so idk But Maybe they only sit a few at atime so they don't get orders messed up..
Those tables are more than likely "reserved" or used by employees when it's their break. Don't think bad about it, they are trying to do their best.
I don't eat out much anymore, so when I do I pay attention. The seating, the food, service, everything was on point. I love everything about this Denny's.
That was my question as well. They said because they only had enough staff for a certain amount of tables. One would think with it being a weekend they would bring in more staff to cover all
