No reservation needed, but it does cost $5 (cash only) to park if you park in the champney falls lot. I hope you enjoy your hike!
$5 at most of the available parking areas. Be early. Park at White Ledge Campground, next to trail sign. Hike up and over threes sisters via Carter Ledge trail, then up Chocorua... then back to three sisters and down middle sister trail to car. MUCH more fun/interesting and you avoid 99% of the people. ;)
If you are using the Piper Trail Head there's envelopes to put a $5 fee in. I went on a Thursday super early and was the only car there. When I got back around 11am the lot was near full.
Parking is $5 at the Piper Trailhead.
Great hike! Bring lots or water and be prepared to walk through many sections of the river. Your feet will get wet especially on champney brooks trail.
It depends on where you park. I was there last weekend and there was a $5 fee. Parking was first-come, first-served. The rangers didn't check us on the way in but did walk around to make sure that cars had their $5 receipt.
