Just called the other dining hall asking about if they are open (winter and lack of staff google shows it is temp closed). My hall was open and worker said the Anahewee dining hall is ONLy for guest staying there. Is that true?!?

I just ate lunch there a few days ago as a walk in. No problem.

I was there October 12-14ish. From what I heard then, they will accommodate outside diners only if there is room. You might want to call ahead.

We were not guests and we were able to have lunch there without a reservation as i don't think reservations or being Ahwahnee guests are required for lunch. However, for dinner we were denied as dinner requires that you're an Ahwahnee guest, you have a reservation, and there's a dress code; we met none of the three requirements.

Wonderful. Thanks everyone for your help. Perhaps I was speaking to a new employee that had 1/2 the info. He sounded sure by providing the advice he did but I will take the group’s input the fine dining Restuarant can be eaten at especially at slow times and if we are better dressed.
