If we pick an open air car and it starts to rain during the trip is there sufficient cover above us to where we won't get wet?

Matt, I'm not sure because we road in the dining car. I'm sure that you would have plenty of cover. Plan ahead and enjoy a great train ride. Try and ride the steam train.

We picked the coach class and went up,the day in the open air car for a bit. You are fully covered however if it was raining hard and windy you could get wet... IMO
