How much walking is involved? Getting on at train station, NOC, and on return at Bryson City. My walking ability is limited, please tell me what to expect.

It depends on which train ride you choose. The Tuskegee takes you to dillsboro, where you get off and walk the town. You can choose to stay on the train for this time. Dillsboro is a very quaint small town located on a slight hill. There is quite a bit when you first get off the train, or within the main road. At the station in Bryson city, they were using golf carts to trolley people to and from the train, but not in dillsboro. There is 3 to 4 steep steps to get up into the train.

Pretty much as what Patrick wrote. Not bad in Bryson, but if you go to Dillsboro and you want to look around there is quite a bit of walking. Trains are not really handicap accessible...you cannot bring a scooter on board.

I use a walker because my walking abilitie is limited (M.S.), I remember it being too much.

Minimal, but a golf cart is available for those who need assistance

75-100 yards depending upon where to park to where you board train at station. You dont have to get off at NOC. However if you do, depending upon where you walk you can be from train to waters edge seating area within 25-50 yards.

They will take you in a golf cart if you need help
