It is posted dogs are not allowed. I can remember as a young girl my parents would take the dog we had. She was well behaved. The next dog we had we did not take to this beach as it was too dangerous for him. If you do disregard the posting please pick up after your dog. That is part of why so many beaches get closed to them.

Its posted that dogs are not allowed, leashed or otherwise but I took my dog, and there were many other dogs there also. I think as long as your dog is leashed and well behaved oherwise, its not a problem. Im not suggesting you break the law or rules of the park, Im just saying although its not technically "allowed", it does seem to be accepted.

I don't think any dogs are technically allowed because of the redwood trees in the front of the park but I have seen lots and lots of dogs on the beach and ecology wise don't know why that would be a problem. There are sea lions though, dog would lose.
