I can't right of review That explains just how special this place is!If you're ever in Trinidad you have to make sure you book a room at the lost whale Inn. I wish we had another night to stay and will definitely be using this for our mother daughter celebration for many years to come. The staff are amazing the rooms are gorgeous and the house is set set in the most beautiful garden garden with amazing views use up the beach below. I highly recommend taking advantage of the hiking trail down to the beach and Taking your glass of wine out to one of the observation decks to relax. We had some of the best food From this bed breakfast And enjoyed the individual room snacks that they had for us. Don't miss out on this Is amazing bed and breakfast.

First let me start with the good. Everyone who works here is SUPER friendly, helpful and professional, especially MEL and SARAH...some of the nicest people we have ever met. It is a gorgeous location overlooking the ocean from high above. The gardens and grounds are so beautiful and the small hot tub is a lovely addition. Breakfast was delicious and homemade and large, and the extra snacks and drinks throughout the day were a nice touch. Here is the issue. This place is not worth $350 a night! I would value the B&B at around $150 at the most. The house both inside and out is extremely worn and falling apart. Some people will call this "charm" or "quaint" but it is neither of those things. When we checked out and saw our bill for $650, I almost passed out. It made my stomach turn over. Imagine if your grandmother was having a yard sale and put all her mismatched old furniture, pillows, rugs and sheets on the front lawn for sale. This is what the interior design looks like. it reminded me of travelling as a student throughout Europe and staying at youth hostels. The mattress was so old and lumpy and the sheets, cover and pillows must have been from the 1980's....my "shower" was exactly 18"x18" wide and put out a very small trickle of water. I wanted a hot shower so badly after driving so far. You can hear EVERYTHING in this place. if someone flushes the toilet in the other room, you can hear it. Any talking or coughing or laughing can be heard from every room. The stairs and floors creek with every step.. please please upgrade your coffee to something better than Costco coffee. Good coffee is one of the most important items in a B&B, especially for weary travelers. Someone on the property loves taping signs everywhere. I think I counted over 100 taped signs in every wall and window throughout the property, which comes across a little cheesy and low class. I would close this place for a month and due a total remodel and overhall. I would give this 5 stars if the price were $95-150 a night, but currently, i don't think i would go back. Needs lots of upgrades, especially for the prices they are charging.

Amazing setting and ocean views, wonderful food and service! My favorite B&B ever! We were wowed from the moment we entered this lovely inn. Wine, charcuterie and cookies every afternoon, gorgeous sunsets, talkative seals and an abundance of nearby hiking trails in the redwoods. Melanie (“Mel”) was a welcoming hostess and gave us knowledgeable tips about local hikes and restaurants. The buffet breakfasts were superb. We will be back!

Amazing! My daughter and I stopped for one night of our 6 day road trip and this was the absolute best stop we made. We were welcomed by kind staff, and an amazing appetizer plate before taking a short hike on the private trail and walk through the gardens. This was followed up by a fantastic dinner at a local restaurant recommended by our host. We capped the evening off with a soak in the hot tub and s'mores by the fire. In the morning we were sent off with perhaps the most delicious breakfast I have ever eaten.
