Our experience has been great. Thank you. For the last reviewer they always come out unannounced. You need more than 2 screens to keep that dog in. How about closing the door.

We have a newly built home within the last year and the auditor’s office came out to take measurements completely unannounced. We have a protection dog and he broke through 2 of our screens trying to get out to a stranger who showed up unannounced. The auditor was running back to her car crying by the time I ran up from a further area of our acreage. There is no reason they should show up on private property unannounced. If my dog would have bitten her, the fault would NOT be on us. My husband is a LEO and with our current state of affairs and accompanying death threats, we have every right to defend our property. Notify property owners in advance!

Questions & Answers

Will my taxes go up if I have a pole constructed. Or if I have a building shed type on skids. Question is what is taxable permanent structure or One that is not permanent

Would sure be nice if that type of information was disclosed on the website wouldn't it? They seem secretive about the process. Basically the tax is assessed on the value of the property so a pole barn does add value and will be taxed. A shed doesn't add value. I dont think they are taxed but size is limited by zoning probably 150sq ft max. But double check that information.

Since 1/1/ 2015, have any six year reappraisals on the real estate in the county taken place? If so, what years? Since 1/1/ 2015, have any triennial valuation updates taken place on the real estate in the county? If so, what years? Thanks.

Yes to both - every 6 years, but just in case that isn't often enough, depending on the economy (market) they can assess every 3 years l
