What kind of animals are there?

There majority of the zoo buildings were built in the 1930's WPA. The architecture is an exhibit itself.

There is an Africa section including savannah animals like giraffes. There is an Arctic area that includes Polar Bears, seals, and Wolves. There is a primate area that includes Great Apes and smaller primates. There is a petting zoo with goats and other small animals. There is a reptile house that includes many snakes and a large crocodile. There is a Tembo Trail that is home to many elephants, hippos, otters, Camels, a Rhino, bears, and a few other small animals. There is an Aviary with many sections that include free flying birds from different areas of the world, a koala, and sloths. There is a recently renovated Aquarium with jellyfish, sting rays, sharks, an octopus and many others. The zoo also has flamingos, penguins, and some other animals that are occasionally off-exibit due to weather.

Every kind of animal, basically.... For sure i know they have polar bears, seals, and African Safari animals. Then cross the bridge to the Aviary, plus flamingos and ducks.... Then the Primate Forest will show you all that is offered. Lemmars and theirs babies always make my kiddos happy. Then you can play at the playground or splash pad(weather permitting). Continuing along you can head towards the peguins and aquarium or head towards the KidZone where my little ones love to spend time indoors taking a break from the weather. They have plenty of fun inside as well as outside. After that we like to head towards the Elephants and enter into Tembo Trail... Plenty of prairie animals and hippos to see there. Basically, we take our time or hit them all.... When the Museum of Science is renovated I'm sure we will be able to see the snakes and frogs again. Who knows what animals they will bring in the future. It never gets old at The Toledo Zoo.

Just about every animal imaginable

Seals, tigers, gorillas, orangutan, cheetahs, bear, elephants, hippos, penguins, pelicans, flamingos, reptiles, and they have a really fantastic aquarium. There are more animals, but these are just real quick off the top of my head. Great zoo.

Rhinos, hippos, primates, elephants. Its a very well put together zoo. Exhibits are based on parts of the continent's. Aquarium is gorgeous and they have hands on experiences too. Well worth going.
