It does not. Platypus are very hard to keep in captivity from my understanding.

From my understanding, since the Bronx Zoo got rid of theirs, the only place to see a platypus in a zoo setting is in Australia. I'm not familiar with any N American zoos that have them (at least not accredited zoos).
