During COVID, they have posted on the website that in accordance with recommendations, "no outside food or beverage except required medical items and baby formula." That doesn't mean anyone actually FOLLOWS those rules. Can go back to your vehicle and eat, just get your hand stamped on the way out for reentry.
We brought a sub and a bottle of water to share, and we found a spot that was away from high traffic areas. Nobody seemed to mind.
I'm not sure if you can, it's been a long time since I've been there.
We pack a lunch.
I made a mistake of not bringing per their policy and it was a big mistake as we stood in a long line for lunch and wasted 1 hr. Because of pandemic I will suggest to get snacks, drinks and even pack a lunch and it will make your trip very smooth.
I have brought in outside drinks into the park. Although they cannot be brought into inside exhibits
